Laure Meloy - soprano

Soprano Laure Meloy recently made her debut at the Hungarian State Opera, singing the role of Ariel in Thomas Adès’ The Tempest. Critically acclaimed as Hecuba in English Touring Opera’s Olivier Award winning production of Tippett’s masterpiece King Priam, she made her Royal Opera House, Covent Garden debut as Queen of Night in Die Zauberflöte, a role she has also sung with English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, and English Touring Opera

Concert and oratorio work includes Poulenc Gloria, Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony, Mozart Mass in C minor, Beethoven Mass in C, Haydn The Creation, and Orff Carmina Burana. Her performances have been broadcast on radio and television, and her voice was featured on the soundtrack of the BBC/Sony film ‘Rocketmen.’
